Banking · Reporting Automation
Transaction Summary Generator for NedBank
NedBank held large volumes of unstructured, distributed transaction data with no automated way to get reports to customers. We built a reporting engine that turns that data into recurring, user-ready PDF summaries delivered by email.

Reporting automated at banking scale.
What the platform handles in production.
- 2M
- Transaction summaries generated
- 1M
- Bank users
- 4M
- Data transferred using ETL & SSIS
The Challenge
Turning distributed banking data into useful summaries.
The bank had unstructured, distributed transaction data and no automated way to send recurring reports to users by email.
- Distributed data: transaction data was unstructured and distributed.
- Recurring reporting: no mechanism to send transaction reports over email.
What We Built
Automated transaction reporting at banking scale.
We built a reporting system that automates monthly summaries, generates PDFs, and processes bank data efficiently through ETL and SSIS.
- Real-time reporting: automated monthly transaction summaries sent to users.
- Backend efficiency: robust .NET Core APIs for fast operations.
- PDF generation: detailed transaction summaries converted to PDF.
- Scalable data management: SSIS and SQL Server used to fetch and optimize bank data.
Inside the Platform
A reporting engine built for high-volume banking data.
The platform turns large-scale transaction data into recurring, user-ready summaries with automated delivery and PDF output.

How it shipped
- Built on .NET Core Web APIs with Entity Framework and an Angular 15 front end.
- SSIS and ETL packages move and optimize bank data across SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- OpenSearch supports querying across large transaction volumes.
- Generated PDFs are stored in Azure Blob Storage.
- CI/CD pipeline automates build and release.
